DHS Provides Advance Copy of Notices Designating Afghanistan for TPS and Special Student Relief

DHS released an advance copy of its designation of Afghanistan for TPS for 18 months, effective tomorrow, May 20, 2022, through November 20, 2023. Additionally, DHS released an advance copy of a notice suspending certain regulatory requirements for certain F-1 nonimmigrant students whose country of citizenship is Afghanistan (or who have no nationality and last habitually resided in Afghanistan), also effective tomorrow, May 20, 2022, through November 20, 2023. Both notices will be published in the Federal Register tomorrow
